Privacy. What is stored, and why.

What Norwell Digest stores about subscribers, who processes it, and how to remove it.
What we store
When you subscribe we store your email address, which newsletter you asked for, the page or product where you signed up, the time, the time you confirmed, and, if you came through a referral link, the referrer's code. We assign you a referral code of your own. We do not ask for a name or anything else.
When an issue is sent we store that it was sent to you and the delivery provider's message id, so bounces and complaints can be matched back. When you click a link in an issue, the link goes through our server first, and we store which link, in which issue, at what time, against your subscription. This is how the newsletter knows which topics its readers use, and it is what triggers the one follow-up email described below.
What we do not do
We do not sell, rent or share your address. We do not use tracking pixels. We do not build a profile beyond the clicks described above. We do not store your IP address; a short-lived counter per address, kept for about two minutes, limits how many signups one address can send.
Who processes it
Mail is delivered by Resend (resend.com), which sees your address and the message. The subscriber list lives in Cloudflare's D1 database on Norwell Systems' account. Aggregate counts (signups, confirmations, unsubscribes, clicks per issue, with no addresses) go to Norwell Systems' own metrics service. No other party receives your data.
Follow-up email
If you click the same product link in two different issues, you may get one email with a longer guide on that product. It is sent once per product, never more, and carries the same one-click unsubscribe.
Unsubscribing and deletion
Every issue has an unsubscribe link that works with one click and takes effect at once. Mail clients that support RFC 8058 can unsubscribe from the message header. An unsubscribed address stays on file as unsubscribed so it is never mailed again by mistake; reply to any issue and ask, and the record is deleted entirely within ten business days.
Children
The newsletters are for working professionals and are not directed at anyone under 16.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the next issue says so at the top.
